The  arguement notation for elliptic integrals are several, I find that for my CAD work I end-up with: u ( x=sn.) That is; ~ Jacobiain elliptic functions  for defining structural shapes to my drawings.
I wish my knowledge of 'Legendre form' was more solid. very very small tic.

Up until now I have been turning shorthand calculations in non-zero 'a' polynoms in quartic

Did you know
Mathematica can solve quartic equations exactly using the built-in command Solve[a4 x^4 + a3 x^3 + a2 x^2 + a1 x + a0 == 0, x]. The solution can also be expressed in terms of Mathematica algebraic root objects by  issuing SetOptions [Roots, Quartics->False]

Interesting. I may look at the application and try out with //The Data Visualizer O-Matrix add-on graph reps.
